UPDATE 2014:

In addition, the EOS-1D X achieves a higher lens motor drive speed with select L-series USM telephoto lenses than the 5D Mark III because of the 1D X’s more powerful battery pack.”
http://www.arihazeghiphotography.com/AH_CW_interview/
http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Comparisons/Canon-EOS-7D-II-1D-X-5D-III-AF-Comparison.aspx
citez: “When all else is equal, the EOS-1D X and EOS 7D Mark II are capable of driving EF super-telephoto lenses faster than the EOS 5D Mark III, specifically during the first second of lens drive. This is due to differences in the circuitry of the camera body and these select lenses* , as well as higher voltage in the battery packs used by the EOS-1D X versus the LP-E6 battery packs used in the EOS 5D Mark III and EOS 7D Mark II

===================

In cat timp citeste senzorul CMOS o camera slow motion de 100.000$

UPDATE 2019:
===================
Olympus E-M1 mark II burst frame rates is slower then the manufacturer specs.
For example: Electronic shutter / Ibis On / aperture closed / low drive (true AF-C) => 9fps. Olympus say is 18fps.
https://www.mu-43.com/threads/e-m1-vs-e-m1-mk-ii-burst-rates-with-four-thirds-lenses.89602/
===================
Fujifilm burst frame rate ks slower then the manufacturer specs, acording to Tony Northup. The crop mode 30fps is actually AF-S. The 20fps is acually droping to 12fps when tracking very fast action:

UPDATE 2020:
===================
What is diffraction in a general meaning? The quantum physics definition: (Hint “diffraction is not edge effect”):
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/136-pentax-q/185307-do-teleconverters-count-toward-diffraction-equation-3.html
Limiting the diffraction to edge is a particular definition o the light passing to a narow edge (slit). A more general definition will be “The more you remove from the incoming perfect wave front, the poorer the remaining part of it will behave when it comes to make a good light spot on the focus plane.” So diffraction will be increased not only by increasing the aperture but also by anything that alter light trajectory decreasing the light: teleconverter, extension tubes, close-up lens, focusing the lens to a higher magnification.

UPDATE 2021:
===================
The small RAW files from the older Canon cameras like 7D, 5D mark II, 5D mark III, 6D, 6D mark II (with single gain sensors) are not bayern RAW, this is confirmed by file sizes.

UPDATE 2022:
===================
An investigation of shutter shock produced by (some) mirrorless cameras (ex. Olympus E-M1), at what exposure times the effect is more visible
https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3651827

An older explanation of the shutter+mirror shock effect on dSLRs, the graph (made by laser measurements) explain why is it more powerfull at certain exposure times.
The explanation is still valid today but as the FPS, flash x-sync (curtain travel speed) increases and pixel density increase the shock effect will also start to be visible ar exposure times around 1/200 (like Canon R7 shutter shock issues), like MTF graph from the dpreview link above cleary show.
